Join our Finding Christ in the Old Testament class in the North Relief Society Room on Wednesdays at 7:20 PM!
The Old Testament is a powerful record of faith, covenants, and prophecy—but above all, it is a profound witness of Jesus Christ. In this class, we’ll explore how ancient history, scripture, and symbolism in the Old Testament point directly to the Savior and offer real guidance for our lives today as YSAs.
What to Expect:
A Christ-Centered Focus: Every week, we will look for the Savior’s character, mission, and love in the Old Testament.
Relevant YSA Application: We will bridge the gap between ancient scripture and our modern YSA life. We’ll discuss how the spiritual journeys of the ancient Israelites mirror our own, and how their experiences apply to the decisions, relationships, and challenges we navigate today.
Weekly Schedule: Our discussions will follow the Come, Follow Me (Old Testament) curriculum for the respective week.
Hello, all! My name is Tanner Monroe. I am looking forward to being with each of you and getting to know and serve you throughout the semester! Here's some highlights of my life:
I am from Indiana and am the oldest of 6 children (5 boys, 1 girl who is the youngest).
I served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Utah Logan and Utah Ogden Missions from 2017-2019.
I graduated with a degree in psychology from BYU in 2024.
I am now a master’s student in the Instructional Psychology and Technology program at BYU.
I do lots of things related to education and design, but my main research emphasis is agency studies. I love it! The best part is that I get to work hard to understand who we are as children of God and then work to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my scholarly work.
I am particularly passionate about people and taking them seriously, and try to live my life by the motto "My mission is to the children of God!"
